Projects Benefitting Buncombe County
- With funding from the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services, Carolina researchers with the N.C. Collaboratory track the spread and development of new coronavirus variants through genetic sequencing
- Led by the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and funded by the Duke Endowment, researchers are working to improve maternity care practices and breastfeeding rates in hospitals located in underserved communities.
- The UNC Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute, with funding from N.C. Department of Public Instruction, provides early learning communities with professional development and technical assistance to support preschool children with disabilities and their families.
