NRI Building

Nutrition Research Institute

The UNC Nutrition Research Institute (NRI) leads the field of precision nutrition research through their work in fundamental, translational, clinical and community nutrition science, leading to better health knowledge and awareness. The development of “individualized nutrition” helps us understand why people’s metabolism and nutrition requirements differ from one another.

Collaboration

  • The NRI is located on the North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis, a facility that is home to research groups from: Appalachian State University, Duke University, NC A&T State University, NC Central University, NC State University, UNC-Greensboro, UNC-Charlotte, and the David H. Murdock Research Institute.
  • The NRI hosts educational events for Kannapolis community members to learn about ongoing research.
  • Locals are invited to volunteer for participation in research studies, contributing to the advancement of science while gaining insights into the field of precision medicine.

Student Involvement
