IACUC: Office of Animal Care and Use (OACU)

Oversees the University’s animal care and use program and is responsible for reviewing all animal care applications using vertebrate animals, ensuring compliance with federal animal welfare regulations, inspecting animal facilities and investigator laboratories, investigating animal concerns, and overseeing training and educational programs

IRB and the Office of Human Research Ethics

Responsible for ethical and regulatory oversight of research at UNC-Chapel Hill that involves human subjects. The OHRE administers, supports, and guides the work of the Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) and all related activities.

Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP)

Works with campus and sponsors to support the research mission at the University. OSP is the primary contact for all sponsored programs at the University.

Core Facilities

Research Cores/Service Centers (RSC)

commonly referred to as recharge units and/or research core facilities, are operational units that provide goods, specific technical, or administrative services to UNC-Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) users or external entities.
