Quinton Johnson serves as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research Compliance at UNC-Chapel Hill. Prior to overseeing Research Compliance services, Quinton was responsible for enterprise-wide compliance in his role as the Chief Compliance Officer, and Export Control Officer at UNC-Chapel Hill. Quinton strives to facilitate international collaboration and clinical research programs by lowering the barrier to access compliance resources. In this role, Quinton provides guidance and answers for research compliance operations, with the overarching aim of reducing compliance burden and fostering a culture of ethics and compliance.

Tatiana holds nationally recognized certifications as an Export Compliance Professional (ECoP®) in the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. She has extensive experience in export/trade compliance and contract negotiation in higher education and the electronics industry, as well as project management and engineering design in the physical security and natural resources sectors. Leading UNC-Chapel Hill’s Export Compliance Office, Tatiana strives to apply her passion for higher education towards helping the members of the University community to safely navigate the intricate landscape of the export control and sanctions laws and regulations.

Brent Eisenbarth is a Research Compliance Associate at UNC-Chapel Hill. He supports both the daily operations of the Export Compliance program and training initiatives across Research Compliance services. To this end, Brent strives to develop training around research processes for the campus community. Brent is passionate about research stewardship and education: as a former K-12 educator, he has worked in North Carolina public schools and abroad. Twice a Tar Heel, Brent holds a master’s degree in Linguistics and an undergraduate degree in Comparative Literature and Hispanic Linguistics. He is currently completing a doctorate in Spanish Linguistics.
