Each year Carolina’s research enterprise delivers meaningful contributions to the economy and society of our state and beyond. We strive to maximize the reach and impact of this work, focusing particularly in translational and community-engaged research activities where the societal benefits are greatest.  

We will promote high-impact research that addresses pressing societal challenges and helps meet the needs of communities, policymakers, and practitioners. 

We will ensure that community partnerships are strong, reciprocal, and aligned with shared priorities, and we will increase access to and participation in clinical trials by improving awareness, reducing barriers, and enhancing outreach efforts across the state. 

To increase visibility, we will implement a coordinated communication and engagement strategy that clearly articulates the value of Carolina research, elevates our contributions to the economy and society, and strengthens connections with key audiences. 

Through these efforts, we will amplify the reach of Carolina’s research, build public understanding and trust, and ensure that our discoveries translate into meaningful benefits for the people and communities we serve.
