Effective December 1 at Noon, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is releasing an updated intake process in ALICE to help facilitate more efficient processing of Data Use Agreements (DUA) and/or Material Transfer Agreements (MTA). When requesting DUAs and/or MTAs, new required forms for these agreement types must be uploaded with the ALICE submission. This helps to ensure that the Contracting Officer has all necessary information at the beginning of their review process.

Updated Intake Process

When entering a request for a DUA or MTA in ALICE, the submitter will be provided links to the new DUA form and MTA form to download and complete. The completed form(s) must be uploaded in ALICE for the submission to be considered complete and ready for a Contracting Officer to review and execute.

Helpful Tips

  • If an agreement includes terms for both MTA and DUA, both forms are required and must be uploaded with the ALICE submission.
  • These forms are not required for DUA or MTA amendments.
  • Review the 2023 Symposium Presentation for more details on DUA/MTAs and the changes included with the new forms.
