A number of federal agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services, the National Science Foundation and the Department of Defense receive congressionally mandated funding to support research and development activities under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.
The Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) has provided guidance on Working with SBIR and STTR Programs at UNC, including the applicable forms to use and the offices to contact.
