In response to campus feedback for streamlining processes, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) has made the Research Service Center (RSC) Operating Plan form into a smart/fillable PDF form. Effective immediately, the new fillable PDF form should be used in place of the current RSC Operating Plan word document. If you are currently in the process of a rate review and have already filled out the old version of the form, you may continue to use that version for the current rate review or you may opt to use the new PDF version.
RSC Operating Plan Request Form
Per OSP 900.01 – Procedure for Research Service Centers, the RSC Operating Plan along with Rate Development Worksheets are requirements for rate documentation in the establishment of an RSC. Every two years, both these requirements must also be updated and submitted to OSP for review and approval. Completed RSC Operating Plan forms (either digitally or wet-signed) should be sent to RSCSupport@unc.edu for processing. Detailed guidance for completing the updated form is coming soon!
Downloading the Form
The new RSC Operating Plan form is located on the Research Core Development webpage. As with all OSP fillable forms, clicking the link will automatically download the form to your computer’s designated download folder. Open the file from that download folder using Adobe Acrobat DC or Adobe Acrobat Reader.
