Salary Cap for AHRQ Grants, Cooperative Agreements, and Contracts
In National Institutes of Health notice NOT-HS-21-007, updated guidance has been provided for applicants, grantees, and contractors of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) regarding salary cap limitations imposed for Fiscal Year 2021.
The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, restricts the amount of direct salary to Executive Level II of the Federal Executive pay scale. The Office of Personnel Management has recently released new salary levels for the Executive Pay Scale.
Effective January 3, 2021, the Executive Level II salary level is $199,300.

The Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) Information Sheet has been updated to reflect the new AHRQ salary limitations.
