A RAMSeS systems update has been scheduled for tonight. The purpose of this update is to increase transparency and provide campus users access to relevant research administration information. Much of this update improves automatic notifications generated by RAMSeS. Minor updates will streamline the Award Received automated email, grant access to see OSR Sponsored Projects Account assignments, and provide additional guidance in Closeout notifications. A summary of the enhancements is listed below.
NIH Mechanism Field
Users are now required to include the NIH Mechanism if the selected Award Type is an NIH Grant when completing a RAMSeS Internal Processing Form (IPF).
Award Received Notices
RAMSeS triggers an email when OSR receives an Award Notice. The system-generated email will now automatically include the Award Notice as an attachment.
OSR SPA Assignments in the Billing Tab
Users with access to Award Administration in RAMSeS will be able to view the Billing tab. This provides information on OSR Staff assignments for billing and reporting duties.
Automated Closeout Notifications
Updated language to the scheduled Closeout Notifications provides guidance for projects that receive a new Project ID annually due to no automatic carryover.
