Instructions for Postdoc Applicants & Faculty


Application Process For Postdoctoral Scholars


Explore Opportunities
– Review available projects on the PULSE webpage.
Obtain PI Approval
– Discuss participation with your faculty mentor to confirm support for the time commitment (10–20% effort).
Submit Application
– Apply through the Postdoc Submission Portal.
– Indicate the specific project you’re applying for and provide a short statement of interest.
Screening
– Your application will be forwarded to the relevant Core Facility.
Interview/Meeting
– If selected, candidates will meet with the Core Director/Core Mentor to discuss project expectations and fit.
Finalize Agreement
– Once a postdoc and core facility are matched, all parties (Postdoc, Core Facility, Postdoc Faculty Mentor) will sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) outlining scope and expectations.
Complete Project & Reflection
– At the end of the experience, provide a short reflection/report to OPA to document your training.
