The University will be closed Monday, December 25, 2023 through Monday, January 1, 2024. During these closures, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and School of Medicine’s Sponsored Programs Office (SOMSPO) will not be available to process proposal and award transactions. Both OSP and SOMSPO will reopen on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
To ensure our offices can meet any deadlines and tasks required before the closure, we have set the following early submission deadlines below. For proposal and/or award actions not specifically identified below, please ensure those requests are submitted to OSP and/or SOMSPO for review and processing prior to the University closure.
Agreements to be Fully Executed this Year
Friday, December 8 at Noon
For agreements required by a sponsor to be fully executed by the end of this calendar year, please contact OSP as soon as possible with all available details no later than deadline noted. This ensures OSP can review the agreement and work with the sponsor if additional time is needed.
Proposal Submittals with Organizational COI
Friday, December 15 at Noon
Proposals due during the closure period and through January 9.
Proposal Submittals without Organizational COI
Monday, December 18 at Noon
Proposals due during the closure period and through January 5.
ConnectCarolina Transactions
Monday, December 18 at 5:00 p.m.
Journals that require OSP Pre-Audit approval.
