Effective today, several updates have been released in RAMSeS with the key changes highlighted below. For additional information see the full 5.8 release notes.
OCT emailed on proposals involving intellectual property
Similar to COI and IACUC offices, the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) at OTC@unc.edu will now be cc’d on Award Received and Intent to Fund emails whenever there is a “Yes” response to any Intellectual Property screen questions in the RAMSeS IPF.
NSF required training emails
Effective 7/31/23, NSF expands requirement for the completion of Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Training for faculty, postdoc, student and other senior personnel on funded projects. Additionally, faculty and other senior personnel will be required to complete Mentor/Mentorship Training.
To inform proposal personnel of these NSF training requirements, the following NSF RCR email will be sent when the RAMSeS IPF status is triggered to “Proposal Approved” and “Award Received”.
The NSF RCR email will be sent when NSF is the sponsor or prime sponsor and to proposal personnel in all roles except:
- Administrative Assistant
- Administrative Contact
- Fellow (Individual NIH Fellowship)
- Independent Contractor and Independent Contractor (Investigator).
