Jeanne Lovmo
Jeanne Lovmo leads research policy and governance initiatives within UNC Research. She works across campus to align policy, streamline processes, and promote a culture of integrity, collaboration, and accountability in research.
Jeanne Lovmo serves as Director of Policy, Governance, and Process within UNC Research, where she leads efforts to strengthen research policy and institutional governance across the university. With an extensive background in research compliance, she guides cross-campus initiatives to streamline policy development, build transparent governance structures, and reduce administrative complexity for faculty and staff.
Before moving into compliance, Jeanne worked as a research coordinator and later as a research manager, experience that gives her firsthand insight into the challenges faced by investigators and study teams. She has since held leadership roles in the Clinical Research Compliance Office, the School of Medicine’s Clinical Research Support Office, and the Office of Human Research Ethics. With twenty-two years at UNC-Chapel Hill, her work has consistently focused on developing effective compliance frameworks, advancing process improvement, and helping research teams navigate complex regulatory environments with confidence.
