Refreshed Structure for Better Research Collaboration and Support

by Jeanne Lovmo

The Research Compliance Committee (RCC), administered by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research (OVCR) Research Compliance Services, is returning this fall with a refreshed structure designed to better support the UNC research community. We invite investigators, staff, and administrators involved in research to join our new quarterly meetings.

Over the past year, monthly RCC meetings were paused to reassess the committee’s role in light of institutional changes and evolving federal requirements. The result is a more focused and flexible model that strengthens coordination, accountability, and communication across the research compliance landscape.

The RCC serves as the University’s central hub for research compliance, helping to promote integrity, reduce administrative burden, and anticipate regulatory risks.
