The past year has brought growth, transformations, and achievements for the OVCR community. We made strides for the University that solidified our position as a leader in research excellence.

  • 2023 Hettleman Prizes awarded to five exceptional early-career faculty
    • The annual Phillip and Ruth Hettleman Prizes for Artistic and Scholarly Achievement were awarded to five faculty members conducting groundbreaking and innovative research.
  • Meet the 2023-2025 CPPFD Fellows
    • The Carolina Postdoctoral Program for Faculty Diversity (CPPFD) named five new fellows.
  • 2023 PARE Award Recipients
    • The Postdoctoral Awards for Research Excellence (PARE) were given to five postdoctoral scholars. Meet this year’s recipients and learn about their areas of interest.
  • Two teams selected as Creativity Hubs award winners
    • The 2022-2023 winners of competitive funding for the Creativity Hubs Pilot Award were Development of a Novel Platform Approach to Expand the Degradable Proteome, led by Lindsey James, and the Systems Science Hub: Youth Mental Health, co-led by Samantha Schilling and Paul Lanier.
