A Climate of Change at CarolinaPlans are coming together for this year’s University Research Week, and it promises to be the most interactive and immersive yet! During the week-long celebration, we will highlight the incredible impact our researchers and students are making in our state and beyond while the world around them changes. Additionally, we will hold events aimed towards engaging students in research activity.

Each year, University Research Week (URW) includes a variety of events geared toward distinctive audiences. In 2022, more than 65 events were held throughout the week, which was made possible by partnerships with many schools and departments.

We are soliciting event proposals for inclusion in this year’s celebration. If you’d like to host a URW event, please fill out the 2023 events submission form as soon as you can.

Are you interested in hosting a large event with appeal to a general University audience? For consideration as a URW 2023 featured event during the week of October 23-27, please provide as many details as possible by August 29th. For smaller, more tailored events, make submissions by October 6th for inclusion on the URW website.

For questions regarding the scope of an event, please contact the URW planning team at researchweek@unc.edu.

University Research Week is an annual, campus-wide event sponsored by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and the Office of Undergraduate Research.

More information will be available soon on the URW website.
