Salary Cap for Grants and Cooperative Agreements
In National Institutes of Health notice NOT-OD-22-076, updated guidance has been provided regarding the salary cap limitations imposed for Fiscal Year 2022.
At this time, NIH has not received an FY22 appropriation and is operating under a Continuing Resolution that applies the terms and conditions of the Consolidated Appropriations Act 2021 and restricts the amount of direct salary to Executive Level II of the Federal Executive pay scale. New salary levels are now available from the Office of Personnel Management for the Executive Pay Scale.
Effective January 2 2022, the Executive Level II salary level is $203,700.
The Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) Information Sheet has been updated to reflect the new salary limitations.
