Join Us For University Research Week November 8-12
University Research Week kicks off next week! The annual event is a week-long celebration of Carolina’s research excellence and an effort to increase participation by students of all levels in research activity.
The signature event for this year’s celebration is the Health of Our State and Beyond speaker series. Interdisciplinary teams of researchers will share how they are tackling some of the greatest challenges facing our state after winning Creativity Hubs funding. These challenges include building coastal resilience, identifying the causes of deadly obesity, developing antiviral therapeutics to stop the next pandemic, and providing affordable, sustainable access to clean drinking water.
More than 50 events are planned for this year’s University Research Week, covering the breadth of research activity at Carolina and appealing to students, graduate students, trainees, faculty, and interested community members.
