Duke University’s School of Medicine is running a Regulatory Affairs Training Program that is open to UNC postdocs. The program runs for 6 weeks and consists of weekly 1-hour online lectures combined with independent study. This program provides an overview of premarket regulatory work related to drugs, biologics, and medical devices.
The Communication Skills module of the NC TraCS Professional Development Seminar Series focuses on the types of oral and written communication used in clinical and translational research. The awards are open to postdoctoral scholars in all disciplines and are designed to assist postdoctoral scholars in their continued professional development. Each recipient receives a personal monetary award of $1,200.

Matt Nelson is a geneticist and information scientist who has been working for the past 20 years in biotech, pharma, and most recently, at the health care investment firm, Deerfield Management. There will be a Q&A over lunch from 12:30-1:30 PM in Bondurant Hall G-010 on Friday April 28th for trainees to learn and ask questions about careers in genetics in the corporate sector.
