SciPhD Professional Development Certificate Series Deadline

SciPhD is a comprehensive 16-hour online program that makes academic scientists “business-ready” for professional positions, whether in academia, government, or industry. SciPhD brings its experiential “learn by doing” methodology online to provide interactive training for graduate students/postdocs to experience the essential skills valued and required by professional organizations. While many traditional academic programs emphasize the scientific/technical skills, the SciPhD certificate program raises awareness of the business and social skills, and improves these skills using hands-on experiences. The individual modules (see certificate syllabus at https://sciphd.com/2021online-programs/) are focused on business and social skills that are generally required to be successful in your first year of work. SciPhD develops and reinforces these skills through team and peer coaching exercises.

The SciPhD certificate program has been generously subsidized by our co-sponsors (Cost to postdocs that apply $30). This event is Open to UNC postdocs and graduate students. Registration is limited. Participants must commit to attend all six sessions as listed below.

5. Session 5: Friday 6/10 2-5pm

6. Session 6: Monday 6/13 4:30-6:30pm
