Renewable Energy Research Symposium

To achieve a more sustainable planet, radical efforts are needed to provide alternative energy sources to address increasing global energy consumption. A future that includes and relies on renewable energy is a multi-faceted endeavor, and researchers at Carolina are tackling this broad and complex topic in many different ways.

The 2023 Renewable Energy Research Symposium will be a half-day symposium that features 3 UNC professors who will lead discussions on renewable energy from the perspectives of solar to chemicals research, renewable energy’s impact on human and societal health, and the business and industry of renewable energy. This will be followed by a poster session featuring students and postdoctoral researchers from across the University showcasing their efforts to address the growing demands of renewables for an improved energy future.
