Galapagos Symposium on Research and Conservation

The Galapagos Science Center Symposium was created in 2016, with the 1st Symposium on Research and Conservation GSC-DPNG. The symposium aims to bring together scientists from the Galapagos Science Center, the Galapagos National Park, our scientific partners from around the world, and most importantly, the local community from the Galapagos.

Each Symposium included presentations from scientists from USFQ, UNC-Chapel Hill, the Galapagos National Park, and some of our partner scientists. We encourage participation from the community as both audience members and speakers.

The annual Symposia emphasizes the connections between the Galapagos and the global network of vulnerable island ecosystems and populations.
