Career Exploration Series: Science Communication with Dr Fenella Saunders
June 29 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Fenella Saunders, Editor-in-Chief of American Scientist magazine, will discuss what science communication is, how science communication is its own science, and how it can help to not only increase public understanding of science, but also move the needle on how scientists see science itself. Dr. Saunders will give a 30-minute presentation, which will be followed by a 30 minute discussion/Q&A. A boxed lunch will be provided. This event is co-sponsored by UNC Postdoctoral Association (PDA), TIBBS, and OPA. Capacity is strictly limited for this event; please only register if you can make it, and cancel your registration if your availability changes so that your spot can be offered to those on the waitlist.
