Release of Subagreement Initiation Portal

A new web-based tool has been released to assist with and improve the subagreement process at UNC. Please note that the tool is not compatible with Internet Explorer. Continued

Whom can I ask to approve my requisitions, vouchers, and journal requests relating to sponsored projects?

All transactions requiring OSR Pre-Audit approval in ConnectCarolina should be directed to the Pre-Audit technician assigned based on the OSR Pre-Audit Approval Workflow.

Whom should I contact if I have a budget override request for a journal, voucher, requisition, or purchase order?

All budget override or project update requests in ConnectCarolina may be requested by submitting a ticket in ServiceNow. Visit the OSR webpage for further guidance.

NIH Policies on Financial Conflict of Interest and Foreign Influence

NIH has released NOT-OD-19-114 as a reminder about the need to report foreign activities through documentation of other support, foreign components, and financial conflict of interest to prevent scientific, budgetary, or commitment overlap.

 

UNC Healthcare to Retire Dual Employment Policy 

As of October 1, 2019, UNC Healthcare will no longer consider any new requests for dual employment.  Effective December 31, the UNC Healthcare Dual Employment policy will be permanently retired. Continued  


Announcing Research for Me @UNC

The NC TraCS Institute at UNC is excited to announce Research for Me @UNC, a public-facing website that will encourage knowledge of and participation in research across UNC. Continued
 

eProcurement Order Threshold Increased

Procurement Services has decided to increase the ePro ordering threshold for select ePro vendors from the current $5,000 per order limit to $25,000 per order. The ePro landing site will indicate which vendors have been taken to the higher threshold with an asterisk next to each vendor. Continued
 

xTract Required for RPPRs 

Effective October 1, 2019 recipients must use the xTRACT system to create the required training tables for submission with NIH and AHRQ T15, T32, T90/R90, and TL1 progress reports. This is not mandatory for new and renewal applications for the specified types of training grants. Continued
 

NIH Funded Clinical Trial Consent Forms

The revised IRB Rule states that the approved consent form must be posted on a Federal public site. NIH requires that this form be uploaded to ClinicalTrials.gov. Continued
 

NSF Biosketch Format Update

Effective January 2020 the National Science Foundation (NSF) has designated the National Institutes of Health’s SciENcv (Science Experts Network Curriculum Vitae) as an NSF-approved format for submission of biographical sketch(es). Continued
