NIH Loan Repayment Program

NIH is now accepting applications for the Loan Repayment Program, the application cycle is September 1, 2020 – November 20, 2020. In order to submit your application by the deadline, the UNC certification official must certify your information. Continue

RAM Reports Updates Released

Changes to the look and feel of the Research Administration Management (RAM) Reports tool has been released. Continue

Updated Guidance: FFCRA Leave Allowed on Sponsored Projects

Per the update from the COVID-19 webinar on Salary & Effort, OSR is now allowing FFCRA leave to be charged on all sponsored projects. Continue

Coming Soon! Other Support Tool

The Other Support tool is used to generate current and pending support of research personnel on your IPFs or PS Projects IDs. Templates for NIH, NSF, and DOD will be released to campus soon!

Q:  How has the University responsed to Science and Security concerns?
A:  The Vice Chancellor for Research Office has issued guidance to campus and established a dedicated website. A National Security Working Group has also been convened with cross-university membership. OSR has also issued guidance to campus and established a website dedicated to their area of responsibility.

Q:  If I have questions about visas, should I talk to OSR or another UNC office?
A:  Any questions regarding visas for students or scholars should be directed to the International Student and Scholar Services, a unit in UNC Global.

Updating Supplier's Banking Information
To better secure Supplier information, starting on Friday, September 18, you will see changes if you’re updating a supplier’s banking information on the Campus Supplier page. Continue

UNC COVID-19 Travel Reminder
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions on travel, UNC has released updated guidance for travel through the University. Continued

Federal Final Financial Report Changes in PMS
Beginning January 1, 2021, the SF-425 Federal Financial Report (FFR) will be required to be submitted in the Payment Management System (PMS) as opposed to the eRA Commons/FFR Module. Continued

ITS Releases Feature Story on RAM Reports
ITS and the Office of Sponsored Research have completed the second phase for the new RAM Report tool that enables campus users to manage awarded funds for research projects. Continued

NSF Approved Formats for Current and Pending Support
Effective October 5, 2020, NSF is requiring new formats and information for Current and Pending Support documentation. Continue
