Jon Collins joined OVCR in 2019 to facilitate advancement of therapeutic research projects on campus and to serve as the scientific collaboration director for the UNC-Deerfield partnership known as Pinnacle Hill. Prior to joining Carolina, Collins served as director of discovery partnerships with academia at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), where he led joint academia-GSK drug discovery collaborations across the U.S. He has 27 years of experience leading multidisciplinary drug discovery research teams across all phases of early drug discovery from therapeutic target identification to development candidate selection.
