NSF Listserv

The Office of Research Development manages UNC’s NSF Learning Community, a way for faculty across campus to learn about best practices in preparing NSF grant proposals through sponsored events and peer-mentorship, and, to stay ahead of the latest trends and development coming out of the agency.  The Learning Community Listserv is the best way for UNC researchers to stay connected about NSF-focused events on campus, to connect with other faculty about interdisciplinary and collaborative research opportunities, and to meet with NSF personnel during campus visits.

NSF Events and Meetings

We often host meetings and events around NSF themes and invite NSF Program Officials to Campus, like 2016/17’s Broader Impacts Symposium and NSF Day!

On April 19, 2017 UNC-CH hosted and NSF Day! NSF Days are one-day workshops that provide insight and instruction on how to compete for and secure NSF funding for science, engineering, and education research. They provide background on the Foundation, its mission, priorities, and budget; and overviews on NSF’s proposal writing, its merit review process, and programs that fall within NSF’s seven scientific and engineering directorates, as well as those that cross disciplinary boundaries.
