Biography
Jeanne Lovmo has dedicated over two decades to advancing clinical research at UNC-Chapel Hill. In her current role as the Associate Director of Policy and Governance in the Clinical Research Compliance Office (CRCO), she collaborates with research units and teams to establish and uphold a clinical research policy and governance framework that supports UNC Research’s mission and priorities. Additionally, she serves as the UNC Research Liaison to the University Policy Review Committee (PRC).
Previously, Jeanne was the Associate Director of Regulatory and Compliance at the UNC School of Medicine’s Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO). In this role, she led various regulatory, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives, including the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for clinical research. Her extensive experience at UNC-Chapel Hill also includes roles as Compliance Manager and Reliance Manager at the Office of Human Research Ethics, where she conducted compliance reviews, managed regulatory reporting to federal agencies, and provided training and support to research teams.
Jeanne’s professional career began in New York after she completed her graduate studies in early intervention at Columbia University. Her work in this field eventually led her to a research project at UNC’s Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute (FPG). Jeanne’s diverse experiences and commitment to ethical research practices have been pivotal to her professional growth in the field.
