Professor and chair of women’s & gender studies Ariana Vigil teaches and conducts research in Latina/o literature, militarization and gender and sexuality.
This administrative supplement will enable the development of a range of DEI and accessibility-focused adaptations to the Nutrition Obesity Research Center (NORC) central website to provide resources to researchers, including an online job board focused on early career and DEI opportunities.
The paid summer fellowship will provide rising third- and fourth-year undergraduate students, including those from groups that have been shown to be underrepresented in health-related research, the opportunity to engage in food policy research.
Hosted by the University Office for Diversity and Inclusion and the Carolina Union Activities Board and Student Life & Leadership, this campus-wide initiative honors Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., his legacy, and his ideals.
