For Departments/Mentors

Departments support Carolina Postdoctoral scholars for the two year program with a mentor, office, computer and partnering stipend support for each year. Mentors guide the professional development of scholars, providing regular interactions with the postdocs and input from annual review and self-assessment feedback with the postdoc. Program oversight is provided by the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, including hiring, HR facilitating and research account management. The Vice Chancellor for Research and the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs value the support of departments and mentors and encourage opportunities for discussions on mentoring, diversity and professional development of our scholars.
