Health Resources and Services Administration Issues 2004 Grant Preview
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in the Department of Health and Human Services has released its FY 2004 Grant Preview, which includes demonstration, education, and training programs addressing public health needs. HRSA’s key program areas are HIV/AIDS services, primary health care, maternal and child health, health professions, and rural health policy.

The 2004 Preview includes grant programs to help institutions plan and develop new programs or expand existing programs in areas such as biostatistics, epidemiology, environmental and occupational medicine, planning and evaluation of health services, management of health care organizations, research into causes of disease and injury in population groups, and the practice of prevention in clinical medicine.

HRSA successful applicants will demonstrate a "seamless transition" among research, services, and dissemination. To increase your chances of success, familiarize yourself with previous federally supported research, available on the following two web sites:

The CRISP database is run by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and provides information about research projects funded by all NIH programs.

The Gateway database at the National Library of Medicine emphasizes previously funded projects and research results in community services.
