The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has been awarded a grant expected to be valued at $17.5 million over five years from the U.S. Department of Energy and President Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for an innovative interdisciplinary research center to develop solar fuels from next-generation photovoltaic technology.
