Kelly Parsons, Technology Development Associate
kelly.parsons@unc.edu Kelly Sivertson-Parsons received her B.S. in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry from Virginia Tech and her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from Wake Forest University. Before joining the Office of Technology Development, Dr. Sivertson worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Cystic Fibrosis/Pulmonary Research and Treatment Center studying the effect of chronic bacterial infection on innate lung immunology. During that period, Kelly also served as an intern in the Office of Technology Development and participated in the Kenan-Flagler Business School's Launch the Venture program, concentrating on market determination and feasibility analysis. These experiences have provided Kelly with the skills to quickly become a highly valued member of the OTD team. Dr. Parsons is a member of the Association of University Technology Managers and the Licensing Executives Society.
