The Tar Heel Certificate Program in Research Administration is a series of workshops for staff members who support the sponsored research enterprise at UNC-CH. The workshops are designed to help individuals build competencies and increase knowledge in areas related to sponsored research with the overall goal of increasing overall efficiency and effectiveness of daily administration. The program is intended for administrative staff who currently perform or anticipate assuming duties and responsibilities related to the administration of research contracts and grants.
The program includes compentency tests that enables participants to receive Level I certification which qualifies the individual to proceed to Level II certification in specialized functions such as proposal management, award management and award reporting.
