Tar Heel Certificate Program in Research Administration
Web-based Program Level 1 Certification
The Level 1 training curriculum focuses on fundamental information needed by Research Administrators who currently perform or anticipate assuming duties and responsibilities related to the administration of research contract and grants. It will provide you with an overview of research administration along with a framework for how it is conducted at UNC-CH.
The curriculum consists of five modules. Each module includes instructional material and a competency test. To receive Level 1 Certification, you must complete each competency test with a score of at least 80%. Once you have successfully passed all five tests, and received Level 1 Certification, you will qualify to take Level II Certification classes.
For each test, you must pass with 80% accuracy. At the end of the test, you will see a summary of your results, if you are satisfied with your score, select the 'Submit Your Score' button and the OSR Training Coordinator will receive your score information. If you are not satisfied with your score, you may want to select the 'Review Quiz' button to see what you missed, review the materials and then take the test again.
