Each section of the proposal (e.g. methods, evaluation, and budget) is discussed in detail, and attention is given to the entire grant-submission process as well as to the criteria used in proposal review.
Experts outside of the university offer tips to help young faculty and postdoctoral fellows overcome environmental and psychological barriers to writing. They also guide participants through step-by-step strategies for improving paper drafts.
Strategies for forming research teams across disciplines and institutions are explored as well as means by which such teams may locate funding for their projects and develop the written proposals.
Workshops are scheduled according to need. Please let us know of your interest in one of the areas above or in other areas that could benefit researchers across the university. ORD Director Jacki Resnick also conducts workshops for faculty and graduate students within particular departments.
