The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Carolina) recognizes the importance of clinical research for the University, its sponsors, and the general public. Advances in clinical research are critical for the future of medical science and discovery. In support of these advances, Carolina has established the Office of Clinical Trials (OCT).
Consistent with its mission to administer clinical research studies and to facilitate excellence in their performance, OCT provides a "one-stop" environment for clinical trial management. Services include administrative, budgetary, legal and regulatory processing functions for establishing and administering all clinical trails. OCT has also standardized clinical trial management policies and procedures. The members of the OCT staff operate as a team focused on delivering quality service.
