Logan Mock-Bunting, a graduating senior in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, captured this image on a hot June day in Charleston, South Carolina, when children cooled off in the Riverside Park fountain.

In the 1999 William Randolph Hearst Foundation Journalism Awards, Mock-Bunting placed 13th nationally in the news and sports category, and 18th in the features and portraits category. He also won the Alexia Grant, allowing him to study photojournalism at Syracuse of London next Fall. He plans to pursue a career in newspaper photojournalism.
