Technical services such as blood withdrawal, production of antibodies, injections, animal restraint, etc. are available to investigators in support of their research activities. Charges are assessed for these services. Click here to view a schedule of Technical Services charges.
DLAM personnel are available to instruct research personnel in the proper techniques of injections, teeth trimming in rodents, blood withdrawal, etc. on a one-time basis at no charge.
The Veterinary Technician staff will tattoo or place ear-tags on rabbits that do not have one at the request of the investigator. All dogs, cats and non-human primates will be permanently identified upon arrival to UNC-CH if not already permanently marked by the vendor.
